Sorry I deleted that item too soon, but to the poster asking about the eepro10. Those NICs have a config utility you can get from Intel's web site. First check that the DHCP queries are going out on the wire with tcpdump, ethereal, etc. You should check that you are using the right media for the NIC, there is a choice of 10BT, 10B2, 10B5, etc. Also fixed settings are more reliable than defaulting to autodetect or PnP.
