Thats true, but still every user has to go to the installation om his/her 
workstation. I think the actual question was to avoid this per user 
installation, which is in fact no big deal. 
In the latest suse versions, there is a OO icon on the desktop, which points 
to an OO-wrapper script. This script does the user installation, without the 
users intervention
