Hi there,

Torsten E. scribbled on 28.02.2005 08:52:
Good morning,

this morning I was asked if an IBM NetVista 8364 TC could be used with LTSP-4.1.
It does not support PXE, but TFTP & BOOTP ...

I got some steps ahead ... ;)

First of all I got an software package with vmlinux-2.4.19-LTSP-IBMNC included (Thanks to Karl!) - seems its the only kernel that could be used with NetVista TCs. But now, when booting, I get this (that's all!):
...
Feb 28 19:24:57 suse92 dhcpd: DHCPDISCOVER from 00:06:29:34:e9:ce via eth1
Feb 28 19:24:57 suse92 dhcpd: DHCPOFFER on 192.168.10.240 to 00:06:29:34:e9:ce via eth1
Feb 28 19:24:59 suse92 dhcpd: DHCPREQUEST for 192.168.10.240 (192.168.10.1) from 00:06:29:34:e9:ce via eth1
Feb 28 19:24:59 suse92 dhcpd: DHCPACK on 192.168.10.240 to 00:06:29:34:e9:ce via eth1
Feb 28 18:25:01 suse92 in.tftpd[28094]: RRQ from 192.168.10.240 filename lts/vmlinux-2.4.19-LTSP-IBMNC
...

On the screen attached to the TC I can read in white letters:
Welcome to IBM NetVista Thin Client
  http://www.pc.ibm.com/networkstation

  Linux is loading ...

After ~2 seconds the letters become green in color, an CapsLock & ScrollLock starts flashing.

Any ideas why it won't run?

Are there any hints available?
Google wasn't kind enough to provide handy infos, so I decided to ask the list ...

Thanks in advance!
