Does that work with 802.11b or g? Does the LTSP client work well over a
wireless connection or is it a bit pokey?
Part of me wonders if I'm not further ahead to just load up something
like xubuntu or Damn Small Linux and then do some sort of a FreeNX
solution instead since that would likely work better over a lower
bandwidth wireless connection. No?

actually, not clearly. I put together a wireless boot CD for LTSP 4.1, and I
see no reason I couldn't do it for LTSP 4.2. It loaded the kernel and initrd
from the CD, skipping the first DHCP and tftp steps. If you're interested,
let me know and I'll see what I can put together. If you wanted to put forth
the effort from there, it should in theory be possible too boot from the hard
drive(using lilo or some such) and not have to worry about CDs
