We're using Ubuntu, so it allows etherboot without any additional work. SuSE doesn't, the last I knew. I've heard that it's possible on SuSE, but I've never done it, so can't tell you how.
For an etherboot solution, go to: http://www.rom-o-matic.net Build a zlilo boot rom image for the card you are using in that machine. Put the file in your /boot directory with your other kernel and initrd files. Add a menu item to your /boot/grub/menu.lst file for the thin client. At one point, mine looked like this: title Thin Client root (hd0,2) kernel /boot/eb-5.4.2-tg3.zlilo You'll have to change your hard disk and file name info, but hopefully this will get you started. Note: Some of the older etherboot versions on the rom-o-matic site have worked better for me than some of the newer ones. It takes a little playing with.
