The overlayfs warning shouldn't be an issue; it first tries overlayfs, and if
that's not found, tries aufs.

Again, the overlayfs warnings/errors shouldn't be an issue.

It just sits there indefinitely? Do you have PRINTER_0_DEVICE in lts.conf?
There's a known bug about that:

If that's your problem, please email 700...@bugs.debian.org ... I'm debating
weather it's possible to get fixed this late in the freeze cycle... more
comments would help.
