The LUG LIST reads like it serves as a forum for advanced Linux users and ISP operators

Face it, the “help foster the Linux growth.” Description doesn’t quite cut it for LUG !

I would like to see more school oriented activities, workshops on Linux usage

Newbie articles created by from the more experienced users and documenting their experiences uing linux in Uganda etc etc

Subject: [LUG] Register The LUG

I was talking to a collegue, currently touring East and Central Africa, who informed me that unlike Uganda, other countries have LUGs to help foster the Linux growth. He could not believe that we had LUGs here too, until I showed him the LUG mails.

This is because Uganda does not have any registered LUGs. This is albeit the multiple sites set up register and count the number of linux users, like

Enlisting and registration on such lists, allows for the exposure of members to a broader range of resources and brains.
