Stephen TEAMs is and has been in use by several providers in town for some months. The main problem is ISP are reluctant to purchase the same capacity on both so they tend to to buy half on TEAMS and use SEACOM as their primary. Orange do have TEAMS as their primary I believe which might explain their stability. I also believe TEAMS is cheaper per Meg than SEACOM. So why ISP's have not migrated on mass seems to be a mystery. Or perhaps their worried as soon as they move providers TEAMs will also become unreliable? Or contracts have been signed and have to wait for them to expire?
Richard perhaps you could enlighten us more from the inside ;-) Simon Vass Technical Manager E-Tech Uganda Ltd http://www.etech.ug Tel: +256 (0) 312260620 or (0) 312260621 Email: [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Stephen S. Is TEAMS a backup or its launch just for show?
