Putting this to secondary schools, and primary schools is very important
but it requires alot.
As some one said, we are trying to implement some thing good in a bad
environment. According to the competition in Ugandan schools, it is
'pass UNEB and you are a winner' and not how much you know and how much
you can do. What does this mean? It means no Headteacher is going to
'waste' resources, including students' time, in curriculum that is not
questioned at UNEB. It all needs the National Council of Education to
think about the entire business. Which doesnt seem to be a cheap
business according to the current setting of our academics.
Otherwise, for the development of a programming culture we still need an
early exposure of computers and technology to kids and students.
