Reinier, i think in any modern society, someone is free to subscribe or unsubscribe from any list am not sure what language i receive my emails, but at the bottom, there is no message indicating unsubscribe
you pointed out "click here http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug (its in the bottom of every email)" but at the bottom, there is only " http://kym.net/mailman/listinfo/lug ", the unsubscribe word is absent ( i wanted to add consipicuosly - "bad english" and my spell checker has failed to get the correct word) as stated earlier i used to know many words in english, but spell checking has killed most of my tense, and good grammar. as is my tradition, i have to add some un related post (Chinese contractors builds 15 storey hotel in 6 days http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/7320525-chinese-build-15-storey-hotel-in-6-days - Idi Amin built what u now call Serena in 90 days in 1972) the man is not as bad as the western media has portrayed him, and if u dont believe that, there were drugs in hospitals during his reign, now the national referral hospital (Mulago) refers patients to make shift clinics, labelled "International make shift Hospital - (pun intended)". Then click the 'unsubscribe or edit options' button. On the next page you will now find a big 'unsubscribe' button that you need to press. It will send a confirmation message to your email address. Follow the instructions in that email to finalize your unsubscription.
