Joseph,
Can you please elaborate on your setup? From what i know (correct me if
am
wrong), to access SMSNow, you need a browser & internet to go to
http://www.sendsmsnow.com/.
Hence its safe for me to assume that you could still work on a Linux
machine
and we get Uncle Bill out of the equation.
Once you have a tux box (your favorite Linux distro), then addressing the
problem of the modem dropping connections is manageable and here is how.
Am assuming you have a huawei modem that is easily read by most Linux
distros or any other modem that can be recognized by Linux.
1. Install any smpppd utility (my favorite is wvdial). (You may need to
zypper/yum/apt-get depending on your distro)
2. If you are using wvdial, follow this:
http://support.real-time.com/linux/dialup/wvdial.html#configure
Let me know how that goes!
Or better still, i could pay you a visit and we work on a solution as
long
as you pay for my boda boda to & fro
Cheers,
