Hmmm, Ok, i thought you were using SMSnow (my bad!)
Lets see what our options are. 1. Fight with Uncle Bill's baby (we may never win, but we can still try. Just have to come over there and you better have a 2 litre coke bottle for me + serious chicken) 2. Install Linux and compile Kannel as an SMS gateway. This is my personal recommendation because its free & open source (meaning we can even make the system dance to our Hip-hop). Ok i have alot to say about our option 2. I have built some interesting systems with Kannel & boy, it rocks. If you need MMS as well, then Mbuni should get you flying. So if you opt to go with option 2; then a). Download the Kannel source from http://www.kannel.org/download/1.4.3/gateway-1.4.3.tar.gz b). Make sure you have these requirements installed: http://www.kannel.org/overview.shtml#req c). decompress the gateway-1.4.3.tar.gz and cd to the decompressed folder d). you may want to first checkout some configure options with: ./configure --help e). you could also read the README & INSTALL files e.g: less README f). for a basic install run: ./configure && make && make install g). For initial testing, you could use the test configs located at: gw/smskannel.conf Just sent this quickie (but i trust you can fill in the gaps to get there..). And in case you get stuck somewhere, please let me know . Then depending on how busy i am, could; 1. Send you more detailed instructions via mail 2. Ask you to do a reverse shell setup on one of my machines with a public IP so i can log into your tux box which is connected to the internet via the gsm modem. This way i can just install & configure Kannel for you. 3. Or I could just sit on a bike and pay you a visit (transport on you and all the amenities i can think of) Cheers, -- - Phillip. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
