Gael,

I do not think we have any local hosted solutions, however you can try
Go-To-Meeting, and hook it up to a projector mike etc, it may work.

Subject: [LUG] Web-conferencing solutions hosted in Uganda?

Hi Lugers,

Does anyone know about web-conferencing solutions hosted in Uganda and
offered as SaaS?

The organisation I'm advising has been testing Elluminate, a proprietary
solution bought by Blackboard and hosted in the US, with good success.
However, license costs are high (10,000$ per year) so from a sustainability
point of view it's not the greatest choice.

The main goal of the solution is to have a platform to deliver remote
trainings between head office and field offices and also among themselves.
Main functionalities should be interactive whiteboard, session recording,
chat, voice delivery and activity icons between participants (polls, away,
emoticons, etc).

The IT person of charge of the project doesn't envisage to host the server
in their premises, hence the SaaS.

Do you know of any Ugandan hosted solution? Any other suggestion?

Thanks guys,
Gaël
