Hi all,Initially I was afraid to introduce myself as my linux group on my
campus tends to have no room for beginners so I learnt everything on my
own.plus I had no comp sci background what so ever when I started doing
computer science. My name is Lynn Asiimwe from University of Cape town 3rd
electrical and computer engineering,I discovered the Ugandan group and joined.I
have one question last year I installed ubuntu 9.10 alongside windows however
my files on windows started disappearing (I thought it was a virus).on
christmas eve all my files were cleaned out. This year I installed ubuntu 10.10
same trend so I quickly uninstalled it and work from the school labs that have
ubuntu installed on them.Has anyone experienced this? Thanks Lynn

Don't look now but you already have got to the mailing list. Welcome!

How is life at Makarere? Have you heard any word of the Mak Chapter of the LUG?
We have tried a couple of times to start it but 'life' keeps getting in the way.
