It was strung in gut throughout. The weight was the same as my 11c, pretty much. A little heavy towards the peg box. The right hand string spacing was ideal. A very comfortable instrument to hold and play, but it was difficult to ascertain the tonal qualities without tuning the instrument to pitch. Museums, of course, tend to just like records of the state of the instrument, not what it should be like if restored.
