Just because I feel devilish, and wish to wind everyone up...things are just as bad in the 19th century, when the great Luigi Legnani advertised himself as a player of the Guitarra Francese...while playing an eight-string Austrian (Stauffer) guitar...based on a six-string Italian (Fabricatore) guitar.
