Hi,
first of all I wrote the keyboard layout handler modifying the keyboard
layout switcher but I'm not pushing anything to lxde, I just propose a
patched version of lxpanel based on 0.5.10 on my webpage (
www.giuspen.com/customs) that is more advanced and bugfixed than what was
pushed to lxde, then write here when I issue new versions if anybody
interested.
I have found no satisfying way of setting an xkb option with the Keyboard

at the moment this is not possible but I can add support for it.

they don't work because the keyboard layout handler overrides any default
option when it's loaded, it uses setxkbmap itself.

with the current version there's no way, I'll propose a new version on my
website but as I wrote I don't know if and when what I do is taken in lxde
as it's not in my control.

I will fix this.
Cheers,
Giuseppe.
