Hello. I'm another one of the Doc team guys. I can confirm that I don't know
of anyone else working on a japanese translation.
If you don't mind, I'll put your name at www.devel.lyx.org/translations.php3
as the "official" japanese translation contact. That way, anyone else who
wants to work on japanese translation (or someone who already is working on
it!) will be able to coordinate their work with you.
