Hi all,
I just saw the fancy new feature where I click on the TOC insert and it
brings up a table of contents on the left side of the main window. Very
snazzy!
How would I do this if my document didn't have a TOC insert? Shouldn't
there be a View->TOC menu item?
It is in "Document->Table Of Contents" but I agree that it should be in
the View menu instead.
Any objection if I change that?
Does this still make sense without a TOC in the document,
Yes. The TOC widget is about outlining a document independently from the
presence of the TOC in the final document or not.
is this panel
meant for altering the TOC itself
No.
or is it just meant to be really handy
for working on the document?
Yes.
And if so, then why have the Navigate menu?
Choice.
Have fun,
You too :-)
