Just FYI, my mvc branch doesn't have the slowness so I guess the use of
the pixmap cache is doing a big difference.
I think that the reason for the slowness is that a single math inset in
a paragraph triggers a full screen redraw. With my painting patch this
doesn't make a difference but it does for trunk. To verify my theory,
just type in a paragraph without a math inset in the test document. So
two ways to solve this issue:
1) understand why any math inset provokes a full redraw and correct that.
2) apply my painting patch.
