You're allowed to support this and send a patch for a clean gtk frontend ;)

I guess we core developers don't work on the frontend side (only the xforms
one as we have to build a base for the porters) all others are made by
people who would like to see their prefered toolkit supported.

So if you want a clean GTK frontend "do it yourself" or find some one
(maybe on the gtk-lists) to do it for you #:O)
