And who collects all the ideas from this 100+ thread?

When extending the list we should post the complete list.
And discussion should not be done within the list.

- what features are a must in the next release;

- Native support for beamer fragile environments (#7273)
- Improve UI for Argument Entry (#6753)
- A reliable LyX ->  TeX ->  LyX cycle
- Improved config UI for Natbib (#6777)
- "Paste Special -> Plain Text" and "Text Style -> Dissolve Text
Style" do not work (#6731)
- GUI support for more TeX fonts (TeX Gyre, URW Classico, etc.)
- More accessible Continuous Spellcheck button (OOo style; the current
option is way too hidden)

- what work do you think you will be doing;

- Come up with documentation for Sweave& create a toolbar for related
custom insets
- Finalize the RO localization
- Provide a workaround to #7273 in the form of a module
- Set up the GSoC 2012 wiki page
- Come up with a native ERT-like Sweave inset (provided that #6753 is addressed)

- what do you hope to see somebody else to do (please keep it realistic) ?

- Rob's outline
- Improved toolbar layout (Rob had some interesting screen shots) and
Text style dialogue (I've always felt that Text style was too tedious
for practical and regular use, and that it could use some love.)
- Improved handling of document tabs (ctrl+tab switching through a
historical list of accessed tabs& empty tab handling similar to Opera
or Geany; I'll file a better explained enhancement request later)
- Improved support for heavily multilingual documents using XeTeX
(provide possibility to config fonts and parameters for individual
languages). See [1], especially [2] and [3].
- QScintilla integration with ERT insets& finalize Georg's patch
allowing to edit ERT insets in external editor (#7404)

Some items concern 2.1, but others could make 2.0.x. Regards
Liviu
