I did not have this problem for a while now, and unlike the exponent problem it was harder to replicate, even in a big file. But nothing has changed in my setup, so I think it is still there. What I am trying to do now is to get out of the math inset using the space key. This does not appear to lead to a crash. Both crash problems don’t seem to have anything to do with macOS though. I have a small and light windows machine for traveling, and this one experiences the same crashes. These crashes only seem to happen with very large files.
