Currently, it is for collapsible insets with one paragraph, with geometry sublabels or corners. I agree that footnotes would not feel great.

Configuration via layout is a possibility, although I think this is more a use preference than a layout design choice.

With one 't', it would sound like "splightable". There is a rule for this, but of course it has exceptions.

What about "InsetFlowable"? That is a word, and "flow" is often used in discussing text layout.

I like that (although there will not technically be a class with this name). Do you find it better than splittable?
