In text2.C, function updateCounters, you have two version of the function. The first one, inside #if 0, is the original non recursive one, which does use the DocIterator parameter. This one is fast but does not update in insets. The other one after the #else ignores the DocIterator and goes through the whole document. This one is much slower but mostly works.
