Whereas I saw a flurry of new code in the core parts of LyX. What I meant is that Qt *itself* is changing rapidly: qt2 -> qt3 -> qt4 which have many differences despite a wish to remain backward compatible. And GUI-I makes it easier for *us* to adapt. - Martin
