The bug is fixed in the version of ja.po I just committed. The relevant line is: #: src/support/filetools.cpp:247 msgid "[[Replace with the code of your language]]" msgstr "ja" This entry of ja.po is used by LyX to know what is the language used by the interface. By adding the "ja" as msgstr, I have allowed LyX to search for the right documentation. JMarc
