Why is that not clear? You are currently looking at
ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.6.3
so you find there only installers for LyX 1.6.3 and the update installer that
updates LyX 1.6.2 to 1.6.3
When you want to update LyX 1.6.1 to 1.6.3:
- LyX 1.6.1 must have been installed using the alternative LyX Windows installer
- apply the update installer that updates 1.6.1 to 1.6.2
(that you find in ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.6.2)
- apply the update installer that updates 1.6.2 to 1.6.3
(that you find in ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/bin/1.6.3)
(Alternatively, you can of course uninstall LyX 1.6.1 and reinstall LyX using the small version of
the alternative installer. When LyX 1.6.4 comes out you can then use the update installer.)
