Sounds like it is time to test with a known "working system". It appears that you don't have one, so the problem could be in any one (or more) of your "system components". Successful trouble shooting with a "system" consisting of old, used parts purchased individually is always a challenge without a working system to compare with.
I am in California and could test your equipment out, but would likely be rather expensive for you to pay for two way shipping. It would have to be "very well packed" to survive the two way trip.
