I tried again to load the chess.wav file from my Model 100 and Model 102 from my iPad using Garage Band to boost the signal. I turned “sound off” in BASIC and successfully loaded the Chess program on both devices. So I can rule out the IO ports and the cables as the defective component. It could still be that the recording function isn’t working. I am going to experiment with saving a file to GarageBand and then reloading it onto the computer.
I also have some new belts coming that I am going to try to replace on CCR-83. Finally, some progress!! Thanks for everyone’s suggestions.
