You might want to use an App called UpSoundDown. Makes going from the
earpiece to speaker phone a snap. Has several options. I prefer proximity
sensing.

I have an Acer Betouch E210, and like you sometimes have the problem
when I answer a call of knocking it on to speaker phone and not being
able to put it back to normal, embarrassing if you are out in public and
you don't want the whole conversation heard.

ok thanks! How do you avoid hanging up on a call when talking? When I am
on the phone, if I move my face I hang up on the call or sometimes I
will mute the phone and the caller can't hear me. Sometimes I put the
phone on speaker and can't put it back to ear piece.
