Hmm. On mine, long pressing up activates the virtual keyboard. Once that is active, then long press down activates voice recognition. You might look in MA settings for the virtual keyboard settings, then make sure to check the box that says something like long press volume up to activate. Not sure exactly, because MA isn't running on my phone right now.
