Hi Eric We neither of us knew about that discontinuation of the software, sorry about that. Actually this is something that you should be able to get over by doing a sector-level backup of the hard drive. I'm sure there are Mac utilities out there which do that. I will investigate.

I wish CCC could do this but thought I read somewhere that it doesn't do the bootcamp partition as it does the Mac partition. suggestions greatly appreciated!
