Hi Marcy,

I do find the business about trying to get to the Favorites screen tricky, and
in my initial post I mentioned that the "To Do" list worked fine, as did the
ability to email recipes, but that I wasn't sure that I could mark any recipes
as "Favorites". I definitely could not get the "Rating" to work while
VoiceOver was switched on. Double tap and hold pass through gestures in this
area simply did not work for me. I had to toggle VoiceOver off to get a rating
to register, and I needed to use my thumb on "Rating" as a reference pointer.
You might try lightly tapping around with the forefinger of your right hand in
the area to the right of your thumb. That works pretty well, but I found that
I had to tap around in different spots in order for this to register, before
toggling VoiceOver back on again and double tapping the "Favorites" button.
Simply tapping once and then toggling VoiceOver back on didn't seem to hit a
"rating star" with high enough accuracy, but doing a few t
aps in the area before turning VO on seemed to work. Also, with the first
method I am still giving a light tap to the screen when I stroke to the right.
In most instances you are supposed to click or tap on entries to add them, so
you might want to check that you have lightly tapped.

This is one of the actions that is difficult to describe in posts. New iPhone
users have a hard time getting used to how light and quick the touch screen
gestures are in practice, and for experienced users, describing when you might
need to put in slightly more force (when tapping around the screen), is also
hard to convey.

HTH. Cheers,

Esther
