Esther, John and others,
I just wanted to follow up with all those who sent me in the right
direction to get the cable Jive dock extender cable. I did get it from Amazon
US and got the premium as Esther suggested. It works great with the Otter box.
It also works well with not only my Sony dock but also it turns out I need it
to use my car charger as that did not fit my case as well.
The cable seems well made and sturdy. I actually prefer using the cable even
with my old 3GS and the doc even though the 3GS can go directly onto the doc.
I like to just hold it in my hand to use rather then poking at it sitting in
the dock tray.
Thanks again to everyone for this tip and I highly recommend it for anyone who
has a otter box or who wants to use a doc without setting the phone in the
often delicate trey.
