Hello everyone.
it does work. Using an IPhone 4 here. I'm totally blind so while it was fairly
easy to learn where to stand and how to point the camera, you need to angle or
tilt the phone to take into account the subject's height and their position in
the photo frame. I was lucky to hav a sighted helper and you need to practise,
as with any skill. Sometimes VoiceOver says 'small face' when it isn't which
makes you think you've still not got the positioningg right . But it is useable.
While Guided Photo I think gives a little more direction I found it much
slower, but that was using the IPhone 3GS.
One last point. I found taking a photo of myself with the front camera was a
good way of mlearning how to hold the phone still. Usingthe volume up button
with the phone locked rather than double tapping 'take picture' really does
help too for getting a steady shot.
Hth.
Dennis.
