Hi listers, For anyone else using a mini, or if a similar problem developes here is what happened for me with Dropbox and mmy finder. last week I installed dropbox on my September 2011 mini, using OS 10.7.4 . soon after that I noticed that my finder became busy and very sluggish. it was almost unusable. relunching the finder and restarting the computer did not help. finally, I called apple. After extended time struggling for solutions using the sluggish finder we finally removed dropbox from the start at login area under users in the system preferences. That did it. the mini became snappy and very responsive again.
I tried several older versions of dropbox and the newest beta and the problem remains. this is happening under Lyon so I'm hoping that maybe with Mountain Lyon the problem will go away. If anyone has this problem then at least this provides a temporary solution. if someone knows how I might use dropbox on a mini with no monitor please share. Eventually, I will obtain a monitor and I will be very curious to see if that truly solves some of these strange behaviors with the mini.
