Hello Henry,

The PRAM (pronounced p-ram) is the parameter random access memory and stores 
all kinds of information about the system.

Permissions are what tells the system who can and can’t read, write or modify 
files. Permissions are often changed by applications during the installation 
process and don’t get changed back again.
