mixing,
Pan and level controls are found in track headers for each track.
Some pointers to select effects with the Smart Controls, by Tuscia Falconer.
In GB Preferences under Audio/midi you need to check Audio Units.
It can be useful to have speech verbosity set toHigh.
Now back in the main window, check Smart Controls, check Inspector.
Check Controls. This will give you the control over adding effects and Also
with this button selected, in the Smart controls group, you will find the
recording level slider.
By checking EQ you will get EQ parameters.
Select the track you wish to add units to.
Go to Smart Controls and interact with it, scroll to Audio units and then to
the first button, currently unnamed. Select the button by pressing VO spacer
and shift.
This will give a menu with two items, no effect and Audio Units which has
sub menus, scroll to the effect you want to apply.
You will be prompted to keep or bypass the existing GB effects, by default
Reverb and echo.
You will next be in a panel with the instrument name, a button and Manual.
By pressing the button with VO spacebar you can turn the effect off and on.
Press Exit and you will return to the Smart Controls menu and now the first
button is named to the effect you chose. You can select effects with each of
the four buttons.
Select an effect with VO spacebar and shift and you will enter parameters to
edit the effect or choose a preset. Select with VO spacebar and leave with
exit.
If you have selected the EQ button the Smart Controls will present you with
many parameters to select presets or in the scroll area modify a setting.
If you have selected Master, your selections will be for the Master
Track.Selecting Output will give you Master effects, EQ will give you Master
EQ.
Navigation,
Control bar group
When you interact with the control bar group you will find the following,,
1. play head position group,
Interacting with this group will allow

After using the search box to select a range of loops, you may play a
selection with, VO keys-shift-spacebar.
***At this time we have found no good way to move a loop in to a project.
Moving a selection, and moving or, stretching a loop in the time line.
Interact with tracks content group, now interact with tracks background.
Using Vokeys-command-shift-accent, you will inter the region resize options
menu where you will find a list of a few areas you mite want to resize
encluding loops. Use VO keys-right and left arrow keys to move, or, resize.

Quantize by Tuscia Falconer
To select the Quantise type for a track.
You will need to be on a software instrument track.
Interact with the Instrument track so you are selecting a region of notes.
Press Cmd A or ‘Select All’ in the menu
Now select Editors instead of Smart Controls.
Select Piano Roll instead of Score.
Arrow right and interact with ‘Piano Roll’ group.
Arrow right until you get the ‘Instrument content’ group, interact with it
and again ‘select All’. These are the notes and midi data you are going to
Quantise.
Stop interacting with the Instrument content.
Arrow right until you come to Quantise and VO space on the setting to bring
up a very comprehensive menu.
Select your choice and press the Q button.
I think by pressing the Q button you perform the quantise, you may want to
change the quantise choice and press Q again to perform the new setting.
Loops,
Open and close loops with o.
After using the search box to select a range of loops, you may play a

Ok, nobody has come back to me regarding getting started with GB, so maybe
somebody can tell me this: Are there instruments already available within
the app, I can see what VO reports as an empty table for instruments, but
when I interact with the table, I can see certain instruments listed, but
can't make any of them play. What do I need to do? -
