Andy, I have some vision. Now what is happening is that when I click on the Accept button to start the recording Java kicks in as the programme requires Java and crashes and there is nothing visual on the screen except mouse pointer. VO says Java busy. Now if I turn off VO and then a sighted person clicks on the Accept button then the programme opens just fine and they can click on the listen button. However I do not know how to manage the click on the accept button and then the play button myself.

I'm sure many of us would be interested to hear how, if you do, you manage to resolve this; like I said, there are some situations where VO just doesn't see the button, and so far, as far as I know, there isn't a work around. Hope yo have success with it -

Thanks Andy for your comment, unfortunately I don't have someone to start me off! If anyone is prepared to give this a go I can provide link and my login details for them to try. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Collins" <a...@recreation.plus.com>

I experience something similar with a sports commentary I listen to. The play link is inbeded in a graphic, and VO can't see it, it needs a sighted person to use the track pad to drag the cursor to the play button, and then click it. Once this has been done for me, if the broadcast drops out, I can get it back by pressing the bottom left corner of the track pad, but I haven't found any way of clicking the play button in the first place. I think this is one area where VO is still behind JAWS -

Hi All, I have encountered a problem with my Mac and Voice Over. My Open University tutorial recordings are available to listen to after the live tutorial and are accessable via the Mac but regretably I am unable to access them as the programme crashes with Voice Over. Take Voice Over off and a sighted person can just click on the play button. Any suggestions please. I could provide a link with other information if someone feels they could assist me off list so please write to eleanormarthabu...@gmail.com
