Is it just me, or are you disappointed with OS X's speed? I am running X.1 on a G4/450 with 1GB of RAM.
I suppose I should just shut up about it, as it _IS_ a newer OS, and it appearantly takes time for the devloper code to be expunged, resulting in a more efficient set of code... but, I really hope that this ACTUALLY happens. And it's anybody's guess how much faster it will get. Is it pointless to ask the list if any members use/have used the Next OS? How does it perform? Is Aqua slowing things down (which Next OS does not use)? Does having Classic booted -- even when not running a Classic app (such as Entourage) -- impart a hit on OS X's performance? In comparison, OS 9 smokes! I hope I'm not being unreasonable on Apple by thinking this. Any thoughts out there on this issue? GG -- Mac Canada is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
