I have Telus and have never had a problem since I started with them
about a year and a half ago (Commercial Drive area).
Some friends of mine who lived only three blocks away from me also had
trouble-less Telus for three years.
And then moved. And have been having random disconnect problems ever
since (Strathcona area).
So I'm guessing the problem can be either your phone line may be crappy
and not able to bare the load (my land line is really static-y sometimes
and I can only get rid of it by unplugging the ADSL line during my
conversation) or the Telus service in your particular neighbourhood is
crappy.
I was told by Telus that they won't fix the phone line unless I pay for
it since it may require rewiring and they don't support anything inside
the actual wall. I'm renting. I'm *not* paying for that :-)
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but at least you may be able to
pinpoint the cause for the disruptions.
What part of Vancouver do you live in? It may help us track down other
in your neighbourhood who could give you their experiences.

Hi
I have just joined Telus for their ADSL connection, and am having some
random disconnection problems. I seem to be getting a little run around
now as Telus tells me now they do not support MACs.
I am running a G4 OSX 4.2.
Do any of you mac' s use Telus ADSL connection and have had a similar
problems and solved them, preferably staying with Telus.
