I have had Telus ADSL and a Mac for 6 or 7 years. (Vancouver -- Mount
Pleasant) I recently had a rash of dropped connections, and when it
would happen I would shut down everything, power off the modem and
wait about 5 mins, then power up again. After a week or so the
problems stopped.
I don't have filters, because I have had it so long that when it was
installed someone came here and split the line do that the dsl has a
separate port.
I have found that the Telus support staff isn't Mac friendly. I now
have both a Mac and a PC and I let them problem solve on the PC
(which I know less about) because they seem to have better
documentation.
Rarely has any problem I have had been in my house, but getting
someone a Telus support to admit that is difficult.
