But, it's generally in the public good. Chances are some official in some company or government beuraucracy is doing something untowards so we have to have _some_ way of finding out (and, given that there's a slim chance the Alberta nationalists will briefly hold the reins of power with the Quebec nationalists Canadians will need an EXTREMELY strong paper trail to protect themselves from a broken electoral system).
With e-mail it'll now be even harder to go after companies who break the law, since, the shady ones will have a delete on sight policy (and, the careless underling who didn't shred the right documents has been responsible for countless lives saved... without some form of paper trail society couldn't have gone after tobacco companies for the tens or hundreds of billions of dollars of damages they have wrought over their short lifespan). But, yes, all Preview does is add a little piece over top. This is more than enough for any law abiding citizen.
