Graphic Converter can do most what you want though its interface has to my mind unnecessary clutter. Use Image grab to import the photos or set Graphic Converter to do so. View any folder of images as thumbs or sideshow and you can do a lot of actions while in those views. A lot of basic editing with many shortcuts for a quick workflow. Can also batch convert or rename files and lots more such as keywords and categories etc.
Another candidate is iView Media or if you have a LOT of images then look at iView Media Pro. This is a better long term solution than Graphic Converter for most photographers. Portfolio is similar but a bit more upmarket in price if I recall. all the best Brian >> Does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement for iPhoto?? >> Typically nice front end, I'm just getting increasingly frustrated >> with it's >> lack of *so* many basic features that should obviously have been >> included! >> >> TIA >> >> Andy >> > > I use iPhoto as the utility for harvesting the pictures from the camera > and for sending them by email or to .Mac Homepage etc., in that the > integration and automation is quite useful.
