Hi.
I just took apart a 17" iMac as I needed to replace the HD. I found that the monitor plug is stuck against the logic board with a small plastic cap that is stuck in place with sticky tape. I was dreading to stick that back together and guess what, the *&%$ wont go back on proper. If I hold it in place with my finger the iMac boots just fine but if I stick it in place with the plastic cap it wont work (dead screen).
Anyone been down this road and have any good tips?
