About £200-350, which can get you a very decent PC laptop thats a lot quicker and more recent.

If cheap is what you are after maybe you should buy yourself a PC laptop. Mac's retain their value much longer because they are made of higher grade parts.

I have a 400mhz PowerBook (pismo) and a 400mhz Dell, both running Ubuntu Linux, guess which machine leaves the other in the dust?!

Good luck with finding a cheap machine.

Gerard

PS
I paid 350 for the Pismo some time back and 100 for the Dell, both have the same amount of ram, hd and both have a wifi card. One is good looking with nice battery life and the other looks like a brick :)
