It shouldn't do. I use a VPN at work to connect to a clients network.
This
goes through two firewalls.
You do need a firewall that is IPSEC aware and offers IPSEC
passthrough. Most decent modern firewalls /routers offer that now,
but a lot of older equipment didn't. As a recommendation for router
manufacturers, Draytek's Vigor range are a little more expensive but
are of excellent quality.
