Microsoft don't offer free mail or browser development but Entourage is OE
on steroids and despite it being Microsoftian, is still preferred by many.
You have to get Microsoft Office to get it though.

There are loads of apps and utilities and tweakers that one can get for X.
Too many to list and it is also a matter of preference.
Have a look at Butler as a good example of freeware that can change the way
you use your Mac. (Dock - wots that? - Oh that thing that I hide under the
menubar ;-)
