My first email program was Claris emailer - it was FREE. At some point I wanted a more modern program (I don't remember why?) and started using OE. It was FREE.
I am not interested in a $200 + multifaceted program just to run email. I use Appleworks for most everything else. I will continue to use OE till something better comes along. I am not adverse to paying for an email program, but it's got to be the right program! And Ward you are right. I have over 500 names in my address book including about two dozen group lists. I also have over 50 rules to sort my mail into 30 different main mail boxes and an untold number of sub mail boxes (I'm anal, ok!). So any email program I gravitate to, will have to handle most of that or be so full featured and do as much as OE that I will be willing to spend the time to transfer my info from one to the other. Thanks for your help. Harry ps, you would think, since Apple foisted OE on us, that they would have designed their mail program to import OE with little hassle.
